I love this “Romantic Burgundy” industrial chic wedding ceremony, between the delightful couple Jared and Kaity, held here in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida at our historic venue NOVA 535. She (the building 535) turns 100 years old (in 2020) and ages, as well as true love, does. Like our room that was FULL of LOVE today! I’m honored that Kaity and her new hubby Jared trusted me and Team NOVA 535 for their most special of days. Love, hugs and a huge, life-long CONGRATULATIONS!!

Romance Meets Urban Downtown St Pete Wedding

Kaity and Jared’s summer burgundy wedding featured romantic charm meets urban industrial chic in the heart of downtown St. Pete.

“We are out of the box people who love to be different and have a flair for the urban theme,” the bride shared.

During the bride and groom’s hunt for a venue, NOVA 535 was the only option for their urban downtown St Pete wedding.

“We were looking for uniqueness and something out of the ordinary,” Kaity shared. “Something that was not overdone and non-traditional. NOVA 535 fit that perfectly. It was the first place we saw and fell in love instantly!”

Working with the colors of the venue and the season, the pair chose a palette of burgundy wine and greenery that would complement the unique wedding space.

“The venue is so well decorated that we hardly had to do any decorating ourselves! The interior brick, exposed pipes and beams, and dimmed lighting was a perfect complement to our theme! Our wedding color was burgundy, and it matched perfectly with the interior of the venue.”

Their decor featured suspended floral garlands and lanterns set against NOVA 535’s chic exposed brick walls for a one of a kind backdrop.

Along with the urban downtown St. Pete setting they were dreaming of, Kaity and Jared were wowed by NOVA 535’s 5-star service.

“The staff was unbelievably nice and helpful; our wedding came with a DJ, event planner, and great recommendations. It was all practically done for us, which made it super easy,” Kaity beamed. “The theme is awesome there! Totally what we were looking for!”

The most important thing to the couple was that their guests had fun, and NOVA made it happen with an atmosphere second to none!

“Great music is key and DJ Jaey is awesome! It was most important to have a fun atmosphere! NOVA really made our night unforgettable.”

Kaity’s advice for other couples planning their wedding is to stay true to you and let your personality shine!

“If you look hard enough, you can find your perfect personality in a venue. For me, a beach wedding was not my thing, nor was it a traditional wedding. I thought it would be impossible to find an industrial/urban-themed venue, but after some research, NOVA 535 appeared, and it was our perfect fit!”
