Coral and Gold Vintage St. Petersburg Wedding

From the owner Michael Scott Novilla, author of the hilarious new wedding and event planning book, It’s 5 AM Go Home:

It makes me smile when I hear things like this from (clients) Rob and Liz, “We wanted something with character that would show when we look back at our photos in 50 years,” Liz explained. “Being able to have the ceremony and reception at the same location was also big on our list! And having a rain backup plan was also a plus.” Having couples TRUST NOVA with their most precious memories is a serious responsibility, which we think is like being a boxer or stand-up comedian. We are only as good as our last event, which helps us remain hyper-focused on delighting our lovely clients and their guests. Thank you for your trust Liz and Rob! Your vintage downtown St. Petersburg wedding was beautiful! Congrats!

Coral and Gold Vintage St Petersburg Wedding

Liz and Rob wanted a fun summer wedding and their dreams came true at NOVA 535. The St Petersburg venue was first on their list, and NOVA was the perfect place for them. Incorporating the venue’s unique character and brick walls as inspiration, the bride and groom created a setting that complemented them as a couple.

“Our theme as fun with a hint of vintage,” Liz shared. “We took a lot of inspiration from NOVA’s brick walls and staircases. I also found a pair of gold plated vintage plates to use for our cake cutting. They helped shape some of our other details!”

Their color palette was bright and colorful with Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year, Living Coral, making a big statement.

“Our colors were coral, gold, and black. NOVA has dark brick walls so I wanted a bright color to offset them a little. Coral was perfect,” the bride gushed. “The gold helped tie in a little vintage feel and add some sparkle. I chose to do a black accent to match the chairs and other features such as the staircase rails at NOVA.”

For the reception, this couple focused on great food, and with NOVA’s open caterer process, Liz and Rob had all their favorites.

“NOVA also accommodated us having a food truck for dinner, and we loved that idea!”

The NOVA 535 Experience:

From the beginning of their wedding planning journey, Liz and Rob were impressed by NOVA 535. The amazing space and stress-free vibes made it an instant yes!

“NOVA was the first venue we went to see during our wedding planning process. It blew us away. I was expecting to find that it didn’t look as nice as the pictures, but it was even better. They included so much in their packages that would take a lot of stress off of us.”

The unique, yet timeless look that is one of a kind at NOVA 535 made it Liz and Rob’s dream place. A vintage St. Petersburg Wedding.

“We wanted something with character that would show when we look back at our photos in 50 years,” Liz explained. “Being able to have the ceremony and reception at the same location was also big on our list! And having a rain backup plan was also a plus.”
