2020 Tampa Bay Wedding Industry Mixer

On a bright and sunny Tuesday morning, March 10, 2020 to be exact, over 150 members of the event industry gathered at NOVA 535 Unique Event Space to share their thoughts on the latest wedding trends. The 2020 Tampa Bay Wedding Industry Mixer was hosted by Marry Me Tampa Bay, NACE and ABC, all trailblazers within the event world, led by wedding planner extraordinaire Tammy Waterman. Tammy is the driving force behind Events by Special Moments. Amanda Sobel was on hand to represent MMTB, while founder Anna Coats was speaking at Catersource.

We enjoyed small bites from Elite Events Catering and Good Food Events + Catering, sipped beers, wines, ciders, and cocktails provided by NOVA 535 and enjoyed beautiful floral designs by John Campbell and Monarch Events and Design. The room buzzed with wedding industry experts sharing their ideas, advice and of course the latest trends!

A top trend on everyone’s mind was sustainability, for example by using compostable plates and flatware or limiting the use of floral foam. These are all contributing factors to the health of our environment. Tampa Bay Cake Company and Sweetly Dipped Confections both shared their thoughts on the rise of the dessert bar and less conventional wedding cake displays, for example, a cake pop cake, while bridal models from Truly Forever Bridal showcased the latest wedding dress choices.
