From the owner Michael S. Novilla: This photo below about sums up Randy and Abby, they are a beautifully spiritual couple, deeply in love and we we’re delighted that they found and trusted Team NOVA 535 for their especially special celebration – their commitment of marriage to each other. Their modern turquoise and tangerine themed downtown St. Pete wedding was breathtakingly gorgeous! WOW!!
Congratulations and best always to Abby and Randy!!
Abby and Randy’s St. Petersburg wedding at NOVA 535 featured bright colors for their modern, elegant theme.
“Our wedding was in the summer. We loved turquoise and tangerine together and knew they would make some awesome art deco, modern decor for our wedding,” the bride shared.
The pair spent their first date in downtown St. Pete and knew they wanted their wedding to take place in the same city that stole their hearts. Their unique St. Petersburg wedding venue was one of the most important elements of their wedding day, and Abby and Randy wanted guests to be wowed by their venue choice.
“NOVA 535 was the only place we visited for a wedding venue and as soon as we stepped through the doors, we instantly knew that we HAD to get married here. The brick walls, wrought iron staircases, art work, wood floors, exposed ceiling with a huge fan, was everything we loved and more!” Abby gushed. “Michael and Ruby of NOVA 535 were absolutely amazing; they went above and beyond my expectations. They would bend over backwards to make sure that your day was perfect and you got everything you wanted for your special day.”
Our proposal was a very thought out with a detailed plan by Randy and my soon-to-be maid of honor, Gabby. Randy asked me around our 6-month anniversary while we were in my hometown for one my of best friend’s wedding.
I am not the easiest person to surprise, so luckily everything almost went “wrong” that day for me to be completely out of my element and for Randy to catch me by surprise. I work night shift at a hospital, and I had overslept to wake up and franticly pack for our weekend back home. Gabby’s plane had been delayed two hours, and we were going to miss “dinner with Gabby’s parents” because of it. When we finally arrived to my hometown later that night, we went to a park near the restaurant to “wait” for Gabby’s parents for dinner. Randy got down on one knee and asked to me to marry him. In a complete shock, I looked up and Gabby had her camera taking pictures of everything, I knew that this was real! Come to find out, we were never meeting Gabby’s parents for dinner; it was all a scheme to get me to that park by the water, but my mom was waiting at the restaurant for us to help celebrate! What did you look for in a wedding venue?
Our venue was one of the most important elements we wanted for our wedding. We wanted a different type of place that you didn’t see all the time at weddings. The brick walls, wrought iron staircases, art work, wood floors, exposed ceiling with a huge fan, was everything we loved and more! Everyone kept talking about how amazing this different venue site was.
