Who doesn’t love climbing into a nicely decorated photobooth at a party? You’ve selected several crazy props and along with your partner / friends / kids / family / fellow drunkie you’ve just met, and it’s time for silly faces and spontaneous kisses and so much more! Well Mark and Shelli enjoyed this so much they created their own successful photo booth company, Get The Picture FL, around that joyus experience of making memories that you (usually) cherish forever. But this story isn’t just about the business of making photobooth memories, it’s about making a deep personal lifetime commitment to someone you love and cannot live without. Well, 20 years later, Mark and Shelli still Get the Picture!

Mark and Shelli’s Get the Picture have been NOVA 535’s go-to photo booth company since the beginning and they ALWAYS bring so much more than just another booth. Their warm, friendly and engaging personalities truly add that extra zing of fun and excitement to each event. They decorate their booths (lots customized options are available for their clients) for each party like our annual NOVAWEEN and NOVA NOEL parties. They recently stepped up their game big time by purchasing a gorgeous vintage Plymouth named “Stella” and added a photobooth to the INSIDE of the car! So when they approached me about their plans for their 20th Wedding Anniversary party, a Roaring 20’s Speak Easy themed affair, plus a murder mystery to boot, of course our 1920 built historic venue was perfect for them.

The Lounge Cat Band was, as always, amazing!! According to their website, “The velvety, swinging sounds of Lounge Cat often have been described as a sophisticated party band. This versatile five piece combo looks young – but plays old: Old School Blues, New Orleans Jazz, Swing, Ska, standards, Motown and Latin numbers prominently fill a bag of roughly 100 tunes plus originals.” 

The murder mystery was a hit – literally! And of course “Stella” their 1935 Plymouth PJ Deluxe photo car booth was packed all night, enjoyed by everyone!

The casino tables were provided by the always excellent DANMAR Productions.  NOVA has used and recommended them for years, love the crew at DanMar!!

Everyone dressed in 1920’s period style, flappers and gangsters, hitmen and hustlers, dames and diamonds, with many friends flying in from France and across the USA; even Babe Ruth made a guest appearance.

Mark, so obviously still in love with Shelli, sang her a Sinatra song, and did an excellent job of it. Bravo Mark!! Everyone clapped and cheered!! Mark smiled one of his classic ear-to-ear grins! Until he realized, upon stepping out of the spotlight, that Shelli was out in the courtyard with some of her girlfriends. Ugg…. So later on the evening, Mark, the true champion that he is, sang it once again. What a stud! Congrats to you both Mark and Shelli on 20 years together!! =D
