From owner Michael S. Novilla:
I love the way Chelsea and Dan utilized an elegant, simple design aesthetic, especially with their usage of the gorgeous, breathtaking flowers. We tried so hard when designing and building NOVA 535 to combine timeless elements; bricks, hardwood, glass, wrought iron and bamboo, creating a unique “blank canvas”. This canvas gives our clients the freedom and ease to enjoy NOVA as-is. Or as with Dan and Chelsea, to ability to add just the right personal touches, allowing their own personalities and creativity to really shine through. Bravo to Chelsea and Dan for creating such a stunning look and feel for thier magical Black, Gold and Pink Downtown St. Petersburg Wedding. Congratulations and much love and thanks!!
Black, Gold and Pink Downtown St. Petersburg Wedding
When searching for a unique downtown St. Petersburg wedding venue, Chelsea & Dan had hoped to find a venue that reflected their vision for a contemporary styled venue with modern decor.
“I wanted something unique and colors that weren’t used as often. Dan and I have a very modern style, and we both like to be different,” the bride shared. “I loved the uniqueness of the modern theme.”
To complement their modern wedding theme, the bride and groom searched for an area that offered different activities and scenery for their guests to enjoy.
“We chose St. Petersburg because of the atmosphere and because we fell in love with our venue. “We knew the accommodations would be perfect for our guests and there would be so much to choose from before and after the wedding festivities,” Chelsea said.
The couple opted for an evening, outdoor St. Pete wedding ceremony that provided a space that they could make their own.
“I wanted something that was more like a blank canvas, where I could show off the design of our wedding,” Chelsea explained. “NOVA 535 provided me with a space I could make my own. They provided the beautiful, unique interior brick walls, double staircase, two-story party space and amazing outdoor courtyard. Guests were extremely impressed with the character of this venue.”
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
I wanted something different from a beach, country club or a ranch wedding. Some of my guests go to a handful of weddings in a year’s time, and I wanted to provide something that would give them a different scenery. I also wanted something that was more like a blank canvas, where I could show off the design of our wedding. NOVA 535 was exactly that.
NOVA 535 provided me with a space I could make my own. They provided the beautiful, unique interior brick walls, double staircase, two-story party space and amazing outdoor courtyard, while I was able to add all of my own decorations and floral. Guests were extremely impressed with the character of this venue. They provided great service before and during the wedding. Our coordinator Ruby was great to work with.
The Proposal:
Dan and I had just bought our new house and moved in about three weeks prior. I came home one day and there were candles lit, with a cake on the counter that read, “Will You Marry Me?” Dan was around the corner on one knee ready to propose.
