2017 St. Petersburg Free Clinic Donor Appreciation

St. Petersburg Free Clinic at NOVA 535

2017 St. Petersburg Free Clinic Donor Appreciation was held on a beautiful sunny “winter” night, Sunday January 29, 2017, at Downtown St. Pete historic venue NOVA 535 Unique Event Space. NOVA 535 hosts 5-Star weddings, corporate events, film shoots and private social events, since opening in 2009. The St. Petersburg Free Clinic aka SPFC, was where my father, Michael F. Novilla, spent over 30 years giving his heart, soul, legal and pharmaceutical knowledge to the clinic and its recipients. Tonight we honored and celebrated his and many other wonderful people’s gifts of love, kindness, money and charity to the SPFC.

David Baldwin (pictured above in red shirt) was honored with the Sister Margaret Freeman Award. This annual award, once presented to my beloved father Michael F. Novilla, goes to an individual or group that enables the St. Petersburg Free Clinic to continue the tradition of service, compassion, and advocacy; as advanced by founder Sister Margaret Freeman.  Bravo David!! A well deserved honor!! Pictured above, seated in red shirt, David Baldwin, tonight’s Sister Margaret Freemen Award Winner. David’s incredible donations give the SPFC and the people in need, a MUCH brighter future. THANK YOU DAVID!! And who else are all those delightful people pictured here? From far left and going clockwise – Michael Bice (Board Chair), Debbie Sokolov (Director of Development), Beth Houghton (Executive Director), Nina Townes (Intake Coordinator), Trudy Grossman (ARNP), and again David Baldwin (Recipient of Sister Margaret Freeman Award).

Pictured below, is my friend and Mr. Amazing himself, Michael Harting founder of 3 Daughter’s Brewing. Mike was in attendance to honor David Baldwin (below in red talking to Mike) by donating the award which was most creative and delightful…and all about one of David’s (and Mike’s) passions – Craft Beer!

Above from left to right is Kaitlynne Silvers (SPFC), Julie Bostick (SPFC – Director of Annual Giving) and Gina Ruiz (SPFC – Director of Communications), all part of our fabulous Team SPFC!

Thank you all so much ladies, you all are SUPERSTARS!!
Tonight’s delicious catering menu was provided by a hardworking, always cheerful, fellow Entrepreneur and small business owner, Murray Clements. Murray is famous for his Murray’s Chicago Deli found at 10525 49th Street North. Call Murray to cater your next event at 727-623-4900. NOVA loves Murray!

A special THANK YOU goes out to my lovely mother Leslie Novilla and to Charlie Osterholt III of Merrill Lynch, who are both long-time supporters of SPFC. Plus they were kind enough to write checks, so the wheels of business can keep turning. Most appreciated! If you are looking for professional wealth management and advice, click here to connect with Charlie (pictured below with his lovely wife). Mom would kill me if I gave her info out, so any and all virtual hugs will do just fine. Love you Momma!

Until next year, please share this blog and your love and support of our St. Petersburg Free Clinic; call them at 727-821-1200 or click here for their website. Thanks again everyone for all that you do and check below for all the photos from this event.

PS: If you had a wonderful time at NOVA please leave us a nice online review. If for some reason you didn’t email me directly at info(at)nova535.com so we can improve.

And a special thanks to my hardworking niece Sabrina, future filmmaker extraordinaire and her super cute helper Christopher, my brother Chris’ son. Sabrina’s mom, my sister Nurse Julie, below giving some love to our father. Bravo!
