Romantic Pastel Outdoor Downtown St. Pete Wedding

From the owner: Michael Scott Novilla:

Rabbie and Anita are so obviously in love, it’s delightful that they chose our historic venue for their outdoor downtown St. Pete wedding. The love they share filled NOVA 535 with a warm and positive vibe, matching perfectly with their pastel colors and soft, romantic atmosphere. We were honored and overjoyed to host them and their families for thier big day, and with more love and hugs and well wishes we send them off into our big wide world as newly weds and one happily married couple!

Anita and Rabbie’s outdoor downtown St. Pete wedding was the perfect blend of modern, romantic, and rustic elements.

“I would describe our wedding style as slightly rustic but soft and romantic. I wanted something somewhat simple and romantic that wasn’t too overstated,” the bride explained.

The couple has lived in St. Petersburg for the past four years, so the bride and groom wanted to host a local affair.

“We really just love downtown St. Pete and the whole feel of the city. It is very ‘us,'” Anita explained.

The NOVA 535 Wedding Experience:

The bride and groom’s pastel color palette of rose and dusty blue complemented the soft romantic vibe, while NOVA 535 brought the modern with its industrial brick walls. Anita and Rabbie shared that they were on the hunt for a place that fit their personalities, and NOVA was the perfect fit.

“We instantly fell in love with NOVA 535 and immediately knew we wanted our wedding there. It was a beautiful venue with the brick, bamboo, and string lighting, and there was plenty of room!” the bride gushed.

The impeccable service from the NOVA 535 team ensured that Anita and Rabbie’s wedding day was all smiles.

“Our wedding coordinator, Ruby, was amazing on the day of, helping in every way possible and making things run smoothly, making us feel special on our day,” the bride shared.

NOVA 535 Speakeasy is the Bee’s Knees

Upon approaching NOVA 535 Unique Event Space, a man in black tells me to go around back. I follow his directions and wrap around the building, making my way down an alley that I’m not quite sure leads to my destination. Finally, I reach an open door where another man in black greets me. I walk inside and am met by Keep Saint Petersburg Local‘s Olga Bof, who gives me a wristband and a “Welcome drink” ticket. My VIP Localicious Week NOVA 535 Speakeasy experience begins.

Video: Indie Market and the Importance of Shopping Local

On Saturday, September 5, the St. Pete Indie Market was held indoors at NOVA 535 Unique Event Space. ‘Twas a stellar event, as usual, but was made even better by the layout, variety of vendors and, of course, air conditioning. Oh, sweet, sweet air conditioning. FLORIDA IS HOT, Y’ALL.
