Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Formal was held on Saturday March 21, 2015 at the gorgeous 1920 built historic venue NOVA 535 Unique Event Space in lovely downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. Alexandria “Alex” was the delightful lady in charge, seemingly singlehandedly planning, organizing and running the event. Excellent work Alex!! There should be a ADPi award for that.

 

Once all the awards were given it was time for dinner! Alexandria Wnuk, aka Alex, did a fabulous job presenting and keeping things moving along, in a fun, professional and lighthearted way. She’s certainly doing many of the right things to ensure that she’s ready for the global marketplace. Seeing some of my Entrepreneurialism in her, I’ll throw out a few books for all of the ladies, and gents, to read. See I founded a club for Entrepreneurs and business owners, from students and start-ups to wealthy successful mentors, and we meet weekly here at venue NOVA 535. It’s called The Entrepreneur Social Club, founded in 2009 after Ben Franklin’s Junto club. Ben’s a big hero of mine.

Tim Ferris’ The 4-Hour Work Week is the starter book, it tests your preconceptions and conclusions of how and where working is supposed to be. Then Becoming A Key Person of Influence would be next. Author Daniel Priestly, author of the KPI book also wrote Entrepreneur Revolution, which puts nicely how critical us Entrepreneurs are to our world. Entrepreneurs take risks and solve problems. We understand it’s ok to fail on the road to solutions and success. Yea yea I know, enough schooling here, let’s get back to the ADPi Formal!

  

Vendors Affordable Catering provided a delicious chicken and mushrooms, veggies, salad, rolls, pasta and potatoes and then

 

they opened a scrumptious dessert bar that caused an immediate line to be formed. Mmmm!

The photobooth by Graingertainment was upstairs in the swanky NOVA VIP lounge and was packed all night. The ladies and their dates enjoyed the booth from start to finish, clowning around and enjoying themselves. That’s part of the best type of reward for me personally, is to see people laughing, enjoying moments of pure happiness, not filled with the worries and stresses of our hectic daily lives. Humans enjoying themselves and each other – their guards and social masks let down a bit, letting their inner children run free for a bit. Bravo! Be your own best friend!

I always have to smile everytime I see Neal Stoll, aka DJ MEGA. He reminded me a while back that he is not 2 time Best of the Bay winner BUT 3 time Best of the Bay Winner DJ MEGA, in the nicest way possible. Neal is a super friendly guy. And wow did MEGA rained down the dance music all night, with much of his own mastery plus his ‘take-a-request” sheet that was quickly filled and enacted! Boom – love you MEGA – GREAT SET LAST NIGHT!!

And after our delicious dinner and desserts were finished, it was MEGA’s time to reign! From today’s hits to an 80’s mash-up back and forth, all night, MEGA had everyone dancing! Well maybe except these few who were glued to that tiny little quiet boring thing that happens every March, haha, the NCAA March Madness! Only reason I wasn’t glued too is that neither of my schools, UF and USF made the tourney. Anyhoo…

The gents were thrilled that we could offer the games upstairs and downstairs, lounging in our super comfy bar chairs, as requested. The main neg of the tourney is that there can only be on winner. Like the Gators were 3 times! Just saying! =D

So here is goodbye for now, and a big THANK YOU to all the delightful ladies and gentlemen who enjoyed their ADPi formal here in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg at our venue NOVA 535 Unique Event Space. It was a nice break between the two weddings we hosted this weekend, along with the NBC Dateline TV film shoot. It’s a lot of work being the #1 rated venue in the Tampa St. Pete area, but as dad always said your life should be a labor of love, and mine surely is!
